The book features 24 landscapes of Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire, painted in egg tempera. There are big skies and panoramic views, with small indicators of human life in the bigger picture – chalk white horses, tractors ploughing, sunken lanes, vapour trails. Many of the paintings have been inspired by the poetry of Edward Thomas and the poems accompany the paintings.
